Join us for an evening with BMoCA’s Friends With Benefits members, Boulder Symphony and friends! Enjoy a guided tour of BMoCA’s spring exhibition, hear music performed by Boulder Symphony, and engage with a discussion about the creation of new works of art.

Musicians from Boulder Symphony will perform select works from throughout history, including music by Boulder Symphony Composer-in-Residence Jonathan Bingham, whose newest piece will be premiered by the full orchestra on February 23rd.

We’ll watch a short film by local filmmaker Kim Johnson which details the process of composing a piece of music inspired by art, and creating a new work of art inspired by music.

Jonathan Bingham (composer), Will Day (visual artist), and Devin Patrick Hughes (Music Director & Conductor of Boulder Symphony) will discuss painter-composer-orchestra collaborations, and speak from their recent experience.
